About
Professor Bhangoo Randhawa received her Ph.D. from the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University. She is a scholar-practitioner of international conflict resolution, designing and delivering cross-cultural and conflict resolution training for a variety of public and private groups in the United States and internationally including healthcare organizations, university administration, social service programs and county departments. She has conducted facilitations for city planning processes, immigrant rights policy initiatives and dialogue around racism and discrimination after the 9/11 attacks. She is also Adjunct Professor of Law at UC Hastings College of Law.
Her research and teaching focus on peace theory, international conflict resolution, peacebuilding, micro-dynamics of civil war, human security and intercultural and interreligious dialogue. Currently she is researching the role of women’s organizations in gender-based violence prevention and conflict transformation and resilience within diaspora communities in Canada.
