How to Declare a Major

FAQs for the New GS Major Declaration Policy

Applications are accepted throughout the year during the spring, summer and fall semesters.

To be eligible to declare students must:

• have completed the online Major Declaration Workshop.
• have completed the Global Studies Major Declaration Form.
• have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
• have completed GLOBAL 10A with a grade of C or better (C- does not satisfy this requirement) Note that GLOBAL 10A may be repeated only once to achieve a grade of C or better.
• have completed any 2 of the other 4 lower division courses (Global 10B, Global 45, Econ 1, Stats 2)
